The Amazon River measures approximately 7,000 km, considered the largest river in the world. Its water volume is 11 times larger that the Mississippi River. The Amazon region consists of flora that occupy 38, 5% of the Brazilian territory, representing a mere 7% of the counties population.         Most of the amazonian's inhabitants live in around a few cities and surounding areas,including Manaus, wich is a thousand of miles from the Atlantic Ocean,and Belem, which is situated on the Equator with a port that is located only a few miles from the sea.
